Recession Cafe

Somone I know went to Thailand the other week, landed on a Friday, interview on the Monday, offer on the Thursday .... having spent 10 months looking for work in the UK, this is a professional position in the same field of work. Just thought it was worth posting and demonstrates how dire the UK is .... or more to the point how awful recruiters are being at these difficult times.

Also, on a related topic, another ex-colleague of mine just landed a great job in the middle East, great money, senior professional position etc having been laid off in the UK last year.

So based on this anecdotal evidence is there a brain drain in progress ... possibly?

Now a friend of mine has secured a job in Hong Kong, hmmm think the weather is better than London
